I began working at learning Spanish in June of 2004 and, over the succeeding months, acquired a fairly large number of different CD and software-based teaching systems that promised instant results. Well, needless to say, they were disappointing; and my progress was minimal, at best.

I even took a conversational Spanish course at a local college. But with class size, concentrated work on accent and vocabulary was less than satisfactory.

I purchased the Learning Spanish Like Crazy materials in March of 2005 and began using them immediately. I was thrilled with the approach and am currently working on Lesson 26. I’ve made solid progress in all areas.

In April of 2005, my wife and I were visiting Costa Maya, Mexico, on the Yucatan; and I decided to try my Spanish with a local fellow, even though I was only on Lesson 11 at the time. It went very well and really encouraged me. I had no problem making myself understood, and he gladly helped me with the pacing and some of my words. However, his sincere comment that my accent was “very good” was especially encouraging.

I like that each lesson is about 30 minutes long, and you don’t need to review a book or notes along with it. This way, I can take my mp3 player to the gym and complete a lesson each time I’m on the bicycle or stair-stepper. Or, I can listen to a lesson on my CD player while I drive to work. No other method is as convenient!

I’m going to Mexico in a couple of months, and I feel confident in speaking Spanish with the locals, thanks to Learning Spanish Like Crazy!
